What you will do
Christopher begins with the idea that traditional Chinese medicine connects our internal organs to our extremities through pathways called meridians. He describes them as rivers of light. When something obstructs a river, the flow can back up on one side and run dry on the other, so low energy can come from too much flow or too little.
You warm up your hands by rubbing them, and you shake your hands, legs and shoulders. Then you let your hands rest at your sides, close your eyes and bring your attention to your palms, noticing any tingling, buzzing or warmth.
Next you tap along your body with gentle fists and say to yourself, 'I choose to be happy, I choose to be healthy, I choose to be in harmony with my life as it is.' You raise your arms to receive golden light from the sun and finish with your hands at your heart.
