Online Qigong Classes

There are three ways to learn Qigong online with us, and they suit different people. Here is the honest difference, so you can pick the one you will actually keep doing.

Most people searching for an online Qigong class are not trying to become a Qigong scholar. They are tired, their sleep is off, and they want something gentle that fits a real week. So rather than sell you one thing, here is what we actually offer, what each is for, and how to choose.

Live or self-paced, which should a beginner choose?

The useful question is not which is better. It is why your last attempt stopped.

If you stopped because nothing held you to it, live weekly classes are worth the money. A set time and a room of people doing the same thing is a real force, and you can ask a question and be answered the same evening.

If you stopped because your week is unpredictable, self-paced wins. A missed live class is a missed practice. A missed self-paced day is just tomorrow. The course is built in order, so you never have to decide what to do next, which is usually where beginners fall away.

A fair number of our students do both, using the course as their daily floor and the live class as their weekly anchor.

What to look for in an online Qigong class

Whether or not you study with us, these are the things we would tell a friend to check. They matter more than production values.

If you want to look beyond us, we keep an honest list of Qigong teachers and schools we have learned from and recommend, including which ones taught Christopher directly and which we simply respect.

Start with the free class

If you are not sure yet, begin free. It is a real 15-minute class, not a sales video, and it will tell you more about whether Qigong suits you than any amount of reading. Claim the free class and getting-started guide, or read how to start Qigong as a complete beginner first.

Common questions about online Qigong classes

Are online Qigong classes as good as in person?

For most beginners, yes. Qigong is slow and repetitive, which is exactly what video handles well, and you can replay a movement as often as you like. What you lose online is hands-on correction. What you gain is practising in your own room, without travel, which is usually the difference between practising and not practising.

How much do online Qigong classes cost?

Ours range from free to about fifty dollars. The free class costs nothing, the self-paced course is $47, and live weekly classes run as a subscription through Great Energy.

Do I need to be fit or flexible?

No. Much of Qigong can be done seated, there is no floor work, and nothing asks you to stretch further than is comfortable. Stiff backs, low energy, and long illness are exactly who this suits.

Can I do Qigong classes seated?

Yes, and we cue the seated option out loud rather than leaving you to work it out. Seated Qigong is a real practice, not a lesser version of one.

Learn Qigong is educational and is not medical advice. If you have a health condition, check with your own practitioner before starting a new practice.
