Why we teach it this way
I did not come to this from a calm life. My twenties were full of anxiety and restless nights, and for years I tried to outrun myself. Eventually I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. When I finally found the right practices, movement, breath, and a little stillness, they did not fix my life. They gave me a way to live it from the inside out. More than ten years sober now, and steadier than I once thought I could be, I teach the thing that actually worked. Not advanced Qigong. The basics, done gently, often enough that the body remembers.
So here is what I believe, and what this course is built on: you can build a Qigong practice that actually sticks in about fifteen minutes a day, even if you are depleted and every past attempt fell apart. If you have started and stopped a dozen times, that is not a character flaw. You were probably handed someone else's routine. This one is built to be kept.
